Protecting our Planet.

We understand the importance of sustainable practices, which is why we work hard to minimise our environmental impact. LCA Group has the specialist expertise and technical knowledge to reduce our carbon emissions and our efficient use of resources also helps to deliver excellence for our clients.

We continuously work to improve our environmental management in line with the ISO 14001:2015 requirements.

For us, sustainability is not just about the environment, it is also about our social responsibility. We invest in our people to generate opportunities for career progression through training and promotion, whilst also expanding our workforce to welcome more technicians and engineers and bring prosperity to the local and wider UK economy.

Sustainability goals

We are committed to playing our part in addressing the Global Climate Crisis.

We are determined to ensure our design and installation methodology approach reflects our sustainability goals.

We recognise that Sustainable Development is achieved through balancing the three pillars of sustainability;

  • Environment
  • Society
  • Economy

By making this commitment, we aim to reduce our carbon footprint to NetZero by 2030, whilst continuing to invest heavily in the learning and development opportunities for our staff and also engage within the community to inspire and offer opportunities to the future generation of engineers.

Refurbished facility

At LCA Group, sustainability is a core principle guiding our operations and development. We have heavily invested in our facilities to enhance:

  • energy efficiency, incorporating features such as LED lighting with sensor controls
  • improved insulation to minimize heat loss.
  • Modernizing the building also involved upgrading heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to more energy-efficient models, significantly reducing our overall carbon footprint.

These upgrades not only reduce our energy consumption but also underscore our commitment to an environmentally responsible future.

Waste management

Waste management is another critical focus area for us, particularly in combating the significant issue of unnecessary waste generated during production. We have found that we can manage our waste by:

  • Leveraging advanced automation in our manufacturing processes, we significantly reduce material waste.
  • Using our precise 3D modelling and cutting-edge machinery ensure that we use only the necessary materials, minimizing offcuts and defects.
  • Implementing a robust recycling programs to ensure all electrical waste is properly sorted and disposed of in accordance with environmental regulations.
  • Following comprehensive recycling efforts, such as separating and recycling cardboard and other packaging materials, which further reduces our environmental impact. This approach not only conserves resources but also enhances the overall efficiency and sustainability of our operations

Sustainable supply chain

A sustainable supply chain plays a crucial role in reducing the overall environmental impact of a company. By selecting suppliers that prioritize eco-friendly practices, companies can significantly minimize waste, lower carbon emissions, and promote the use of sustainable materials.

At LCA Group, we place a strong emphasis on working with suppliers who demonstrate a commitment to sustainability. This focus includes evaluating potential suppliers based on:

  • their environmental practices,
  • such as their energy usage,
  • waste management protocols,
  • use of renewable resources.

Choosing the most sustainable suppliers is a key deciding factor for us, ensuring that our supply chain supports our broader sustainability goals and contributes to a more sustainable future
